Devices: Smart TV vs Android TV
This is the biggest difference and it usually decides the comparison. TiviMate is an Android app designed for a TV remote, so it lives on Android TV, Google TV, Fire TV and Android boxes. IBO Player is best known for its native apps on Samsung and LG Smart TVs, and it is also available on Android and Fire TV.
If your TV is a Samsung or LG and you do not want an extra stick or box, IBO Player is the practical choice. If you already use a Firestick or Android TV box, TiviMate is the one most people compare everything else against.
Price: TiviMate Premium vs IBO Player Pro
TiviMate Premium
TiviMate installs for free. Many of its best-known features need TiviMate Premium, a paid upgrade bought inside the app. Pricing is set in the app; check the official listing.
IBO Player Pro activation
IBO Player starts with a free trial, then each device needs a one-time activation fee paid on the IBO website. Check the official IBO website for the current price.
The practical difference: IBO charges per device, so a home with three TVs pays three times. With TiviMate, check in the app how Premium covers your devices before you buy.
Setup and everyday use
TiviMate setup
Open the app, add your M3U URL or Xtream Codes login, and the channels and EPG load. Everything happens on the TV with the remote.
IBO Player setup
Open the app, note the device key shown on screen, then add your playlist on the IBO website. The TV loads it on the next start.
In daily use TiviMate is known for its TV-guide grid, which feels close to a cable box. IBO Player is simpler and its strength is that the same app runs on the TV you already own. If you want to compare IBO with Smarters too, read IPTV Smarters vs IBO Player.
